Picture take on Elena’s second birthday in 2021

This month we celebrated our little girl’s second birthday. Another major milestone in our daughter’s journey as a toddler and our journey as parents.

I wish I could tell you motherhood becomes easier with time. Well, in general it does because you get to know your child better as well as yourself as a parent.

Just don’t expect that the learning, developing and becoming part ever stops.

Elena is growing up so fast that sometimes it’s difficult to grasp that she is only two years old.

Welcome to the terrible twos

Until now I had only heard the horror stories from parents of two-year-olds. Now…

This month I will be sharing with you 7 ways that help me restore the balance in my life when my days become too overwhelming.

February was not an easy month. Especially now when it’s been almost a whole year of a world pandemic and home isolation. I don’t know about you but I tend to lose my patience and inspiration at times.

I hope that this article will give you some quick, simple and practical ideas about how to bring some more calmness and relaxation in your life.

#1 Read a book

For me personally that would be any personal development literature —…

This article is for the moments in our lives when we feel overconfident, invincible, immortal, even, for example, larger than life. Often especially in these moments this feeling may let us “slip and fall on our backs”.

The reason why I am discussing this particular topic this month is because I had a skiing accident which caused an injury and me ending up in a knee immobilizer.

Don’t worry, I am fine. Really. The most important thing is that I am alive and that nothing is broken or severely damaged.

It’s just that this very…

Today is the last day of 2020.

Probably many of you are already preparing for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, looking forward to the end of a year most probably none of us has ever anticipated.

While you may be dreaming of a brighter 2021, I would like to encourage you to take a moment and reflect on your 2020. It hasn’t been an easy year but what I have learned so far is that life’s most precious lessons are hidden in adversity.

I often hear people complaining about everything they have not been able to accomplish in 2020. The…

This article is for those of you who feel a little out of balance right now.

For those of you who wake up every day and wish the day would go in one direction but instead your day goes in a totally unpredictable direction.

Or those of you who wake up and don’t feel like doing anything although you have things on your mind which you would like to do but you just cannot force yourself to act.

For me personally November is one of the most challenging months of the year.

You wake up, it’s dark and cold outside

In just a few days from now my daughter will turn one year and six months. I consider this another big milestone on our journey as a mother and daughter.

In this article I will share with you what has been remarkable for the past six months and why I find it important to write down and share my experience with you (my article CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF BEING A MOTHER covers the period before that).

A parent or not, I am sure you can find some useful insights in this article, so if in doubt, just give it a…

This month’s article is devoted to a provocative book that I read over the summer called “Outwitting the Devil: The Secret To Freedom And Success” written by Napoleon Hill.

The book has made me see “the Devil” in a new light and has helped me watch out for tricks used by “the Devil” which I was not aware of before.

About Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill began his writing career at age 13 as a “mountain reporter” for small town newspapers and went on to become America’s most beloved motivational author. …

Have you happened to ask yourself any of the following questions in the past few months?

  • To visit my parents/grandparents/relatives or not?
  • To go back to the gym or not?
  • To send my kid(s) back to daycare/school or not?
  • To have some fun with friends or not?
  • To celebrate my birthday or not?
  • To attend a friend’s/relative’s wedding or not?
  • To book a holiday or not?
  • To go back to the office or not?

In the current pandemic situation, I notice I am asking myself these questions quite frequently, if not even a few times per day.

Actually every time…

Quote by Anais Nin

I was talking with a friend recently and she told me she admires my courage and confidence. This conversation left me quite surprised and made me think about the long way I have gone to get where I am right now.

I have not always been courageous, let alone self-confident.

For some reason I grew up believing that I had to please the people around me.

During my studies my dedication and high grades were my way to impress my parents and teachers. …

June is reserved for celebrating yet another writing anniversary.

This June it’s been three years since I published my very first article on LinkedIn (A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP).

A great opportunity look back, reflect and share with you my experience from the past three years — my challenges, fears, goals, lessons learned and the reason why I do what I do.

Three years ago I was so inspired by all the personal development books I had read by that time that I felt the need to share my learnings with the rest of…
